How to use

Choose RAID level, disk count, per-disk size, and spares. Check minimum-count requirements after excluding spares.

The result is theoretical capacity for the stated equal-size model. It excludes filesystem overhead and real performance, and RAID does not replace a backup.

Principles and limits

Each input is limited to 1,048,576 bytes, output to 33,554,432 bytes, and processing to 5,000 ms. Input is never silently truncated.
