JSON ⇔ YAML

JSON ⇔ YAML lets you convert between JSON and YAML and identify lossy features in your browser.

⌂ Inputs and results stay in this browser and are not automatically stored or sent.

Changing direction leaves input intact. Paste input in the selected format.

How to use

Choose the conversion direction before entering JSON or YAML. Inspect number, string, and array types and the nesting in the output.

Some information, including YAML comments, has no equivalent in the target format. Keep the original configuration: a round trip need not reproduce its exact text or all its information.

Examples

{"name":"SheepDev","ready":true}

Principles and limits

Each input is limited to 1,048,576 bytes, output to 33,554,432 bytes, and processing to 5,000 ms. Input is never silently truncated.
